Wimpy Kid is a massively popular book series for middle-grade readers. Together with a small team, I designed marketing, branding, and editorial materials related to the Wimpy Kid brand and individual books.
Wimpy Kid Global Branding
For the past 3 years, I've been the lead designer on all Wimpy Kid materials, collaborating with the marketing and editorial teams and even the author/illustrator. Over time, I've created a consistency to the brand while pushing the creative direction to various products including box sets, stationery, and calendars.
Wimpy Kid Design By Book
Every year a new Wimpy Kid book is published and with it comes a large marketing campaign for bookstores and readers. What is designed varies by year based on the new book's theme and I've made everything from subway posters, airport posters, foldable maps, floor decals, corrugate book displays, bus wraps, patches, to hot air balloons.
